20X MES SDS Running Buffer

Description:

MES-SDS running buffer (20X) is  a concentrated buffer solution.
Based on 2-(N-morpholino) ethane-sulfonic acid (MES) C₆H₁₃NO₄S
It is used as a  high resolution running buffer for proteins on neutral pH, and is good at separating small to medium-sized proteins.

20X MES Running Buffer concentrate.
This buffer contains: 1M MES, 1M Tris base,2% SDS and 20mM EDTA at pH 7.3.
Store at room temperature. Keep away from light. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agent and acids.

Working Strength

The buffer is used at a 1X working strength, so is diluted from 20x to 1x.
(1X formula): 50 mM MES, 50 mM Tris Base, 0.1% SDS, 1 mM EDTA, pH 7.3.
This is done with purified 18MOhm (0.0 micro-siemens) water (MB Grade Water 20-9103-10).
The buffer is available 0.2 micron filtered.
