De-staining Bags (T-Bag method) for Ethidium Bromide Removal

Description:

Each bag will remove up to 5mg of Ethidium Bromide overnight from solution. The rate of de-staining is improved if more de-staining bags are added to the solution. Changing bags during de-staining increases the rate at which resin adsorbtion occurs.The majority >72% of ethidium bromide is removed within 120mins leading to 100% overnight.

Once the Ethidium has been removed the buffer can be poured into the municiple drainage system, as it is now considered non-hazardous.
