High Resolution (HR) Agarose is a premium high resolution agarose specifically developed for the separation of small DNA and RNA fragments during DNA electrophoresis. Designed as a specialist PCR agarose, it provides exceptional resolution of nucleic acid fragments up to 1,200 bp, delivering separation performance comparable to polyacrylamide (PAGE) while maintaining the convenience and ease of agarose gel electrophoresis.
This DNA electrophoresis agarose is ideal for resolving PCR products, genotyping, mutation detection, molecular diagnostics, and other molecular screening applications requiring high-resolution separation of closely sized DNA fragments.
Increasing the agarose concentration further enhances resolving power, allowing fine discrimination between small DNA fragments :
- 3% w/v gel: 150-800 bp
- 4% w/v gel: 20-500 bp
- 5% w/v gel: 10-300 bp
These separation ranges are achieved using standard electrophoresis buffers including 1x TBE and 1X TAE.
