*Peptide Coupling Reagents used in Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis

Description:

Coupling reagents are used in the addition of Fmoc-amino acids in solid phase chemical synthesis of peptides.  They are supplied as powders and normally made up in Di Methyl Formamide.

Peptide coupling reagents enhance the activation of amino acids in the formation of peptide bonds.  Activation requires the use of a solvent such as DMF in the dissolution of the reagent and amino acid.
